What woud be a normal day for you? My days usually now consist of up at 8.00am go training at the gym , come home have lunch then out for my 2nd part of my training. On my day off from bmx i wil get out bed later go do some clothes shopping , eat a liltle then go party at night lol
Do you have any brothers or sisters? Yeah i have lil sister shes 3 and lil bro hes 2 almost 3, he just got lil bike he's going be the next joey bradford ... watch this space ha
How did you get started in BMX? My uncle and his kids used to do it way back and he took me some races and i got hooked ! bmx is the most additive thing it gets you hooked and you cant get away from it
What are some of your long-term goals in BMX? Long term goals my biggest goal is to be olympic champion in 2008 then with the olympics being in England in 2012 to win in home country . My other goal for next year or 2007 is to turn AA pro men in the uk .I want to buy house in states and live out there ! it be such kool life hot weather , great tracks and great people! what more could a bmxer want!
Are you going to win Olympics? YES im going to try my best
Are you still in school? I finished school in september to train full time with bmx and i also moved to a different town away from my parents to train harder and closer to my coach .But i think i will return to school in april for sport studies to help with my training
What do you do for training? I do the normal : gym , road sprints you no that kind of thing
Whats it like racing in England? England the girls racing here is pretty lame to say the least! the girls are to lazy and dont take bmx so serious . But guys racing is really kool are jr guys getting alot faster and more elite men are pushing there selves .I think bmx in the olympics now is best thing that could ever happen to our sport ! its giving alot of people a real big focus now and people and really beging to take it much more serious
Last year you came over to the US for some races in Florida, some stuff went on between you and Hyashi, What happened and what would you say about it? Yeah i came to states best 2 weeks racing ive had .USA really knows how to throw good race meetings ! I raced kim and knew it would not be easy shes a fast girl and few years older than me ! first national i was over it i raced so badly .Then at tampa i picked it up and doubled for the weekend .The talk was the move in the turn , some say it was unfiar others didnt personly i think it was clean and fair move . I look forward to coming over again !
How did you end up doing at those two races? In orlando not so great i did lame i got knocked off in the semi day 1 and then hit gate day 2 to take 3rd place . At Tampa i doubled to take the win both days
Are you going to any races in the US this year? Yeah me and Great Britian team are going to hit vagas and phonixx . I also would like to come to some races towards the end of the year but i have not planned any yet
How are the races in the US compared to in Europe? In europe its compleatly different racing to the usa . I think in the usa racing is alot more laid back and you get alot more practice time on the tracks ! but in europe very structured and not so much time on the track .
What could the organizations do in the US to have better races in your point of view? uhm not so much perhaps make the tracks in the USA more the standard of soe of the technical euopean tracks ,I know dale holmes for one when he came to race in europe found the tracks a lil difficult at first , because he was used to racing state side . But apart from that USA is a sick place to be racing .Maybe if i was a rider there to not have so many races on because riders need time to recover instead of racing every single weekend ! and maybe the organizations to come together and make one big ass organization and to make a crazy cool schedule! less races more money for pro's . Now its olympic sport pro's deserve more money with most other olympic sports prize money is always high so same should go for bmx
